The mother of the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Alao, Deaconess Margaret Oyeronke Alao, has passed away.
In a statement on Friday, the monarch revealed that Mama Oyeronke Alao died early that morning after a brief illness. She was 81 years old.
Mourning his beloved mother, Oba Alao, the second child of the deceased, described her as a devout Christian who dedicated her active years to ministry, working alongside her late husband, Pastor Amos Alao. The couple served as priests with the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) until their respective passings. Pastor Alao passed away over 12 years ago.
According to the monarch, his parents pastored churches in several cities and communities, including Akure, Osogbo, and Ogbomoso.
Oba Alao, while praying for the repose of his mother’s soul, stated that burial arrangements will be announced later.
