The Oyo State Government has announced that the distribution of appointment letters to 1,591 newly converted local government ad-hoc workers across 33 local government areas will begin on Monday, February 3, 2025.
This follows the approval by Governor Seyi Makinde in October last year to convert ad-hoc staff into permanent positions to address workforce gaps at the local government level.

Hon. Ademola Ojo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, made the announcement in a statement signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation.
The successful applicants have been advised to collect their appointment letters at the Local Government Service Commission between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily, from February 3 to February 6, 2025.
It was emphasized that collection by proxy is strictly prohibited.
