Though I am constrained to mention names, I am sure government officials are also aware of the inconvenience caused by these operators. The attention which Oyo State Government has so far given environmental issues would not be meaningful if this one is not addressed too.
Some people say that some government officials are also owners of the facilities, a reason that makes it difficult for government to take necessary step to check the operators. But I don’t want to believe that unsubstantiated claim. I believe in the willpower with which Governor Ajimobi has carried out some policies which we did not know would be possible in the state, in Ibadan, in particular.
Therefore, I believe that before the governor leaves office next year, he will do something about it.
