Oyo govt, investigate this fire outbreak

Published by
Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi

STUDENTS of Olivet Baptist Academy in Oyo town lost books, bags, clothes, food items and  other valuable things during the fire outbreak that occurred on October 3.

Students numbering about 100 were reportedly affected by the inferno. It is however comforting that no life was lost during the outbreak.

However, Oyo State people expect the Ministry of Education to send a team of investigators to the school in order to unravel the circumstances behind the fire incident. This is necessary to prevent a recurrence.

The students deserve the sympathy of all. The lives of our students should be protected. We have future governors, ministers, medical experts and lawyers among the students. The state government is expected to do everything within its power to repair  Olivet Baptist Academy.

I also want to make a passionate appeal to Governor Abiola Ajimobi to earmark money for the students in order to alleviate their plight.

The state government should compensate the students. They need help. The people of Oyo State are looking forward to positive action from the state government.
