State Head of Service, Mrs Olawumi Ogunesan who disbursed the cheques to the beneficiaries at State Secretariat, Ibadan, on Monday, assured that government will continue to pay the gratuities from time to time.
In the release signed by her media officer, Mr Fasasi Ismail, Ogunesan appealed to those yet to receive theirs to remain patient, noting that efforts were in top gear towards the payment of other outstanding gratuities.

Ogunesan further advised the beneficiaries against venturing into businesses they do not have in-depth knowledge about, so as not to fall victim of fraudsters.
In their remarks, some of the beneficiaries, Mr Ezekiel Oyedele and Mrs Akinade Mojirade appreciated the state government for paying their gratuities.
Tuesday’s disbursement follows an earlier release of over N201 million for the payment of year 2011 to January 2012 retirees.
