Oyo State Government, on Thursday, demolished structures housing illegal diesel marketers on the Ibadan-Lagos expressway.
Environment and Natural Resources Commissioner, Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, led the demolition exercise and cautioned those involved to cease operations.
“We have visited this place on many occasions to warn you on the need to put a halt to this illegal trading of the products along this axis, but you refused.
“Henceforth, illegal buying or selling of diesel on this corridor should stop, otherwise erring individuals will face the wrath of the law,” the commissioner warned.
The Oyo State Government, however, reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing environmental regulations and maintaining public safety.
