Oyo govt calls for maintenance of community projects

The Oyo State government, through the Chairman of the Board of Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), Dr Idowu Lateef Oyeleke, has called on community leaders to embark on proper maintenance of community projects in their locality while expressing dissatisfaction at the inability and failure of some communities to adhere to the laid down rules to ensure that infrastructures contributed to their community by the agency are preserved.

Oyeleke, who was speaking after a meeting held at its secretariat in Osuntokun area of Ibadan, noted that communities that fail to maintain public property or abandon public infrastructure will be blacklisted and admonished groups and community leaders to ensure maintenance culture and protect the world bank/ Oyo State government projects and facilities provided within their domains so that the projects can stand the test of time.
