We have, for long, been enduring difficult times during the rainy season. We always allow water to dry before moving around the community. Motorists are usually compelled to wait endlessly for hours in the traffic as their vehicles usually break down due to the bad road.
We call on the state government to save us from flood by constructing an effective drainage system in the area.
Movement around the community is cumbersome whenever it rains and all our efforts to find a solutions to the problem have been futile.
Some of the self-help solutions by residents include the construction of pedestrian bridges and drainages, regular clearing of drainages and individual efforts to sand fill their plots.
Lack of proper drainage system and tarred road from Alabakan to Farayi and Oju Aba is a big headache for us whenever it rains and it has increased cost of transportation.
We hereby urge the Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, to urgently come to our rescue by tarring our roads and constructing a proper drainage system.
