Oyo State Fire Services has embarked on a zero-tolerance campaign for fire incidents in the 33 local government areas of the state.
The Campaign, which was led by the General Manager of the Agency, Reverend Yemi Akinyinka, commenced at the popular Oje and Araromi auto parts market on Tuesday.
Akinyinka, who raised concern over the reported fire incident in some parts of the state, stressed the need for residents to take precautionary measures.
He said the residents must be mindful of what happens in their environment as the dry season approaches.
According to him, “We are embarking on the campaign to reduce the fire incident in the state to a zero level.
“There is a need for our people to be mindful of how they handle the inflammable, especially during the coming dry season.
“The campaign is going to be a continuous one. We will be moving from one market to the other.”
