Commissioner representing Oyo State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, has joined eminent personalities in Oyo State and beyond to congratulate the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on his ascension to the throne.
Professor Olowofela, in a statement on Sunday, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the new Olubadan.
Olowofela, also prayed that the ascension to the throne of the new Olubadan will mark the beginning of greater things to come.
According to Olowofela, Governor Makinde, in a statement posted on his verified social media handles on Wednesday night, expressed gratitude to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who contributed to the realisation of the new Olubadan palace project.
He said the governor also announced that a process has been established where all 11 local government councils in Ibadan will contribute to the upkeep of the new palace on a monthly basis.
“The governor further stated that the second phase of the palace will include the renovation of the Bower’s Tower, which will help boost tourism in the state”, Olowofela stated.
