Oyo APC Rep candidate takes campaign to constituents in Ogun, assures youths on employment

Published by

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency, Olumide Ojerinde, has restated his commitment to tackling youth unemployment and underemployment head-on if he is elected to represent the constituency.

This was as he reminded the constituents about the importance of quality and accessible education and how it is a tool to cub poverty.

Ojerinde made these statements in Sagamu, Ogun State, while addressing Igboho and Oyo State youths, who migrated to the town in search of greener pastures.

According to Ojerinde, who had recently concluded a ward to ward visitation in the constituency, where he assured people of better living standards and empowerment, the trip to Sagamu was to convince the youths that every individual “has a responsibility in the development of our community.”

He promised to be a representative that listens to the yearning of the people, saying: “The import of my visit to you is to let you know that there is no place like home and that if elected, I will work hard to make our constituency greater and better with more ease of doing business. My aspiration is geared towards bringing about progressive development in the constituency.

“This is why I have taken time to visit you, my kinsmen, who have been forced to leave home to seek greener pastures here. We have plans for you all to secure gainful employment, increase the ease of doing business and give platforms for self-actualisation.”

“The task of developing our constituency is a joint one; everyone matters and we need your cooperation, first through your votes for APC on February 16 and March 2, and then your collaboration when we are eventually elected so that, together, we can build a new constituency that leaves no one behind in prosperity and progress,” Ojerinde said.
