Oyo: APC Chieftain advocates electoral process review for LG elections

All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain in Oyo State, Akinjide Akinola has called on stakeholders to work out the best electoral process for local government elections to achieve free, fair and credible elections in the country.

Akinola noted that the process if reviewed will help eradicate harassment, intimidation and unfair treatment of opposing participating political parties during elections.

Akinola stated this shortly after he performed his civic responsibility during the local government election held in the state.

Akinola, after performing his civic duty at his Ward 10 Unit 8 Olodè/Gbédun/Ojèbode of Ona-Ara Local Government of Oyo State sued for peaceful, transparent and fair process across polling units in the state.

Cheering up the electorates on ground for election at his polling unit, Akinola appeals for peaceful conduct and mutual understanding as the people of Ward 10 and Ona-Ara Local Government are one big family irrespective of party affiliations.

“We’re a family here. Irrespective of our political party affiliations, we should not allow it to decide us. We’ll continue to live harmoniously after this election, and why we should always take it cool with one another”, he concluded.
