The burial arrangement of the late Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Isaac Omodewu, has been scheduled to commence on Thursday, September 12, 2024, with a Christian wake in Ibadan.
His body will leave the United States on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
The state publicity secretary of the party, Wale Sadare, made the disclosure in a telephone chat on Sunday.
Sadare said, “The body of our chairman will leave the USA on September 11, arrive in Nigeria on Thursday, September 12.
“We will hold a Christian wake on Thursday in Ibadan, while church service and burial will hold in his home town, Otu in the Itesiwaju Local Government Area of the state, on Friday, September 13.”
Omodewu died after a brief illness in the US.
He was a cabinet member during the tenure of Late Sen. Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi as the governor of Oyo State.
He was inaugurated alongside other 34 state chairmen by the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee in February 2022.
