Seyi Makinde
A group, the All Agricultural Product Traders Association International, Oyo State, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the proposed loan scheme for farmers and traders in the state.
This was as the group also thanked the governor for his free education programme, prompt payment of workers’ salaries and pensioners in the state.
The association, speaking through its state chairman, Alhaji Nureni Alade Adesola, at the general meeting held in Ogbomoso, said the prompt payment of salaries and pensions has positively affected the economy of the state.
He also said the free education programme of the current administration in the state has help the masses to give quality education to their children, noting that the development was in fulfillment of Makinde’s electoral promise to the people.
The agricultural product traders also said it was commendable that the governor promised to provide financial assistance by giving loans to their members and farmers in order to ensure food sufficiency in the state.
Also speaking, chairman of the association, Ogbomoso Zone, Alhaji Yekeen Olawuyi, said the focus of the association was to ensure that agricultural products are vailable across state.
This, he said, was in order to make life meaningful to citizen of the state because food is life, adding: “We pray that Governor Makinde shall be successful in his administration as he has assured us that his government will prove loan scheme for our produce buyers and farmers in the state.”
The All Agricultural Product Traders International Association has its branches across the five zones in the state, including Oyo, Ibadan, Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa.
