Oyo ADC has murdered sleep ― Oseni

Engr Remi Oseni

ONE of the gubernatorial aspirants in Oyo state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Engr Remi Oseni, has declared that the party has shot itself in the leg with the recent substitution of Dr Bamidele Ajadi’s name with that of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin by the National Working Committee (NWC) last Friday as claimed.

Oseni made this known in a reaction sent to TribuneOnline as to whether that could end the crisis hovering over the party since its governorship primary last month.

The business mogul declared that if that actually happened, then the political future of Nigeria is rocky, stating that such a step has further weakened the chances of the party and strengthened the opposition.

He said even with the development, “My hope in transforming Oyo State is fully alive. There is no amount of political intimidation that can suppress the will of God.”

Speaking further, Oseni said: “If it is true that INEC has replaced Dr Ajadi’s name, then Nigeria is in a serious leadership challenge that can only be cured through serious deliverance prayers. 2019 is not about party, it is about personality. We need honest people who are ready to serve. Planless people will not be allowed in government.

“Deceitfulness and act of ungodliness will not be allowed in government house. Oyo people will decide who will rule them. The time of individual or group of people choosing the Governor is over. We would not allow illegality that will give birth to pains and affliction for Oyo again. Enough is enough.”

He further posited that “I want to submit that denying the will of God for Oyo State will naturally call for further aggressive prayers. I have said it that Exodus 14: 14 is my consolation. I did all I could do to convince them it was God’s project. You can not stop God. I told those who planned to stop the will of God for Oyo State to think twice. God will not fold his hands. I asked them to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Oyo State is our Jerusalem. The forceful replacement of Ajadi’s name to Lanlehin was a breach of the agreement and answered prayer for me.

“I will join millions of Oyo State people in the prayer for the fulfilment of God’s will. I will prayerfully ask for direction so as to join you in your prayers to select a genuine leader for our great State. You can’t settle for less. Our problem is leadership.

“The exit of prominent members of the party to other parties is not unconnected with the unfair and ungodly activities of the party leaders. The battle for 2019 has just started. You can force your will on God and force your will on people, but only the will of God will prevail. It is not over until it is over.

“If our Abuja leaders are genuinely working for the party’s success, I am sure INEC wouldn’t have done what they claimed has been done. Lanlehin is not ADC candidate,” Oseni stated.
