Oyetola urges unity among Osun APC stakeholders

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, on Friday held a strategic meeting with key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, emphasising the urgent need for unity, discipline, and peaceful coexistence among party members, especially aspirants.

Addressing a wide array of party leaders and loyalists, Oyetola, in a statement made available to newsmen by his Media and Communications Adviser, Dr Bolaji Akinola, urged all aspirants to regard one another not as political rivals, but as allies united in the pursuit of a common goal—being the advancement of the APC and the political liberation of Osun State.

The minister, while making the call, stressed that the real political opposition remained the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and therefore encouraged members to direct their energy towards defeating the main opposition party in the coming elections.

“As progressives, we must rise above internal divisions. Our mission is collective, and our strength lies in our unity.

The meeting was attended by notable figures within the party, including former Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Grace Titilayo Laoye Ponle; Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun; former Speakers of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Wale Afolabi, Rt Hon Adejare Bello, and Rt Hon Timothy Owoeye respectively; Chief Akinwunmi, Chairman of the Igbimo Agba Osun (Elders’ Council); Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, Osun State APC Chairman; Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi; as well as members of the Osun APC State Executive Committee, the Agba Osun caucus, local government party chairmen, among others.

The meeting concluded with a resounding commitment to unity, discipline, and strategic collaboration as the party prepares to confront the political challenges ahead and reclaim its mandate in Osun State.
