Oyetola, Alabi take oath of office as governor, deputy governor Osun State

THE newly elected governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola and his deputy, Mr Benedict Gboyega Alabi on Tuesday took the oath of office as they officially took over the reins of power in the state after the exit of the immediate past governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola.

The oath of office was administered on the duo by the Chief Justice of Osun State, Justice Olubunmi Adepele Ojo inside the capacity filled Osogbo Township Stadium, Osogbo.

It is recalled that Oyetola, who was the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had won the 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun State, polling 255, 505 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard bearer, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke that garnered 255,021 ballots.
