Oyedepo’s Rolls Royce: Attack is inevitable, whether rich or poor — Adeboye

Published by

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that attack is inevitable, whether rich or poor.

During the October Holy Ghost Service at Redemption Camp, Adeboye addressed the backlash surrounding Bishop Oyedepo’s recent gift of a Rolls Royce.

He noted that many were outraged, questioning how a bishop could own such a luxurious car. “Let me tell you, my beloved children,” he stated, “if you die poor, people will blame you, saying, ‘After all these years of serving God, this is how you end up.’ If you’re unable to pay your rent, they’ll ask, ‘Where is your God?’ On the other hand, if you begin to ride in a Rolls Royce, they will attack you for that as well.”

Pastor Adeboye emphasised that regardless of whether one lives in poverty or abundance, criticism is unavoidable. “They will find a reason to attack you anyway,” .

Recall  Tribune Online reported that  Bishop Oyedepo received both a Rolls Royce and N1 billion for his 70th birthday celebration.

He said, ”Someone gave a bishop a car , and some people got very, very upset, that how can a bishop be riding a Royce roll as if once you are a bishop , you must die of hunger .

”Let me tell you, my beloved children, if you die poor, they will blame you. They will say, after all these days of serving God, this is how you end. If you can’t pay your rent, they will say where your God is; if all of a sudden you begin to ride a Royce roll, they will attack you, so which of the two will you choose?

They are going to attack you anyway, whether you die of poverty or you live in abundance.”
