Afrobeats star Oxlade has reached a major career milestone as his 2022 hit single “Kulosa” has been certified gold in the United States, surpassing 500,000 units in sales.
The song’s global popularity is undeniable, with over 400 million streams on Spotify and more than 187 million views combined across two music videos on YouTube.
“Kulosa” also enjoyed significant success on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart, peaking at number five and staying for months.
This gold certification marks Oxlade’s first RIAA plaque, placing him among the elite group of Nigerian artists to receive this honor.
“Kulosa” is part of Oxlade’s debut album, Oxlade from Africa, featuring collaborations with top artists like Wande Coal, Flavour, Bobi Wine, Fally Ipupa, and Popcaan.
Oxlade’s international acclaim continues to grow, with certifications in countries such as France, Canada, the UK, Nigeria, Spain, Portugal, and Switzerland.
