Iba Adams said this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Kehinde Aderemi, copy of which was made available to newsmen on Wednesday, just as he rejoiced with the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke and the good people of Ijeshaland on the ascension of the new monarch, Oba Haastrup, Ajimoko III.
The Yoruba generalissimo prayed to God and the Yoruba ancestors to protect and preserve the monarch, bless him with long life and good health, and signpost his reign with phenomenal success, peace, prosperity, and joy for Ijesaland, all Ijesas, at home and abroad, and indeed for Yorubaland.
This was just as he implored new majesty to extend the olive branch to all aggrieved contestants, cement all cracks, and bring everybody together for the arduous task of continuing the trajectory of progress that hallmarked the tenure of his predecessor, the late Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II.
“Now that the contest is over, I implore Your Majesty to extend the olive branch to all aggrieved contestants, cement all cracks, and bring everybody together for the arduous task of continuing the trajectory of progress that hallmarked the tenure of your predecessor, His Imperial Majesty, the late Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II.

“You can transform Ijeshaland, and I am confident that you will bring to bear your wealth of experience as an astute administrator, a highly successful businessman, and your extensive connections and powerful networks across the world to continue the development of Ijesaland for the good of all its citizens and non-citizens as well.
“Kabiesi, Ijesaland is too important and too strategic to the progress and overall good of Yorubaland to be left in the limbo,” Adams stated.
The Yoruba generalissimo urged Oba Haastrup to show love to his subjects, as he settles down on the throne, “and work closely with fellow Obas, not only in the Osun State Council of Obas where you are the Deputy Chairman, but also across Yorubaland.”
He, however, assured the new monarch of support to ensure his “success on the throne, as we work together for the unity, peace and advancement of Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.”
