Dressed in Ankara fabrics dedicated for the occasion, Osupa rendered some tracks from his latest release titled C-Caution, he released in January.

Even the enthuasistic audience were all over him, hailing his singing prowess and high tempo percussion which kept them dancing throughout the show.

The royal host of the occasion, the Olu of Itori, Oba AbdulFatai Akorede Akamo could not also hid his passion for Osupa’s music as he took the dance floor with a group of cultural women who complemented him as he watched the musician singing his praise few metres away.

Oba Akamo, who is also the chairman of the Progressives Obas Forum, had notable members of the forum as his guests in colourful ankara fabrics.

Oba Akamo’s wife, Olori Faderera Barakat was also in her usual best attending to dignitaries, including her personal friends who had come to share the mood with her and her youthful looking hubby.

Olori Akamo played a key role in coordinating some activities, especially before the occasion. Itori town wore a colourful look from the entrance on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway with bill boards, banners and other promotional items on the grand function in the town.

“I cannot thank God and my ancestors enough for this year Itori Day. It was an event to remember for good. The success of every function is measured by the number of people in attendance. You can see for yourself that this is a well-attended show. It is good for us; it is good for the town because somehow the economy feels the effect.

“I thank all traditional rulers too numerous to mention now. They came and stood by me. It shows the extent of our good relationship. My friends and committee that put it together are also commended for a job well-done,” he said.

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Chief Bankole was also full of praise for members of his committee for the sacrifice and commitment towards staging the big show. “I am also very happy and urging us not to rest on our oars because the big one is also coming up,” he noted.
