In a statement by its National Chairman, Chief Joseph Avazi, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune in Abuja, the party admonished the general public, especially the electorate in the state, to disregard any contrary information.

According to the statement: “we wish to inform the general public that consequent upon an inconclusive primary election of June 25, 2018, conducted at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Osogbo, our party- AD has not announced or declared any person as its flag bearer for the September 25th Governorship Election in Osun State.
“The position of the party, following spate of allegations of doctoring and manipulations of delegates list and lack of due process, has caused an investigation of such complaints, and its decisions shall be made known to the general public in due course.” The statement signed by the chairman added.
