Muyiwa Ige
The warrant of arrest issued on the former Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development in Osun, Architect Muyiwa Ige by the state House of Assembly over alleged land matter at Ilobu has been revoked.
Saturday Tribune reliably gathered that earlier order issued by the legislature to arrest Muyiwa, who is the son of Late Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Federation during the regime of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo came up at the House on Thursday, where it was revoked.
Similarly, in a public announcement monitored on Osun State Broadcasting Corporation ( OSBC) on Thursday around 6.00pm, it was stated that all issues had been resolved, just as the earlier warrant of arrest issued to effect the arrest of Muyiwa had been revoked
According to the announcement, the Osun State House of Assembly members led by the Acting Speaker, Hon. Adegboye Akintunde held meeting with Muyiwa Ige, where all issues were resolved, while the warrant of arrest order was attributed to communication gap.
Reacting over the development, Ige, confirmed that the warrant of arrest had been revoked, just as he reiterated that he was not aware of the earlier invitation which was said to be announced on the radio.
He, however, affirmed that he will not relent in contributing his best for the development of the state under the able leadership of the governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, adding that he would not derail from the virtues and upbringing by his late parents.
Ige also expressed appreciation to Nigerians home and abroad for their calls and concerns over the warrant of arrest order.
