Osun Assembly congratulates Fayemi over victory in Ekiti governorship poll

OSUN State of Assembly under the leadership of Hon Najeem Salaam, on Sunday, congratulated the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi on his victory in the Saturday gubernatorial election in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, which was forwarded to the TribuneOnline in Osogbo.

The legislature noted that Fayemi’s victory was as a result of people’s desire for good governance, just as it commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for providing equal opportunities for all political parties during the election.

While applauding the security agencies for creating a peaceful atmosphere throughout the duration of the election exercise, the statement described Fayemi as a noble politician, who had what it takes to deliver on the All Progressive Congress (APC) agenda of good governance.

The statement expressed optimism that the APC would also record a sound victory in the September 22 governorship in the state, adding that the people of Osun have benefited immensely in the APC-led government in the state.
