The Osun State House of Assembly has confirmed all nominees sent to the state lawmakers into the statutory commissions in the state by governor Ademola Adeleke for screening and confirmation.
The confirmed nominees that cut across the state House Of Assembly Service Commission are Hon. Adekunle Oyekunle (Chairman), Hon. Okun Obiremi (member), Hon. Adebusola Taiwo, Hon. Sulaiman Adio and Hon. Yinka Adetoyi .
Also, in Osun state Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), names of chairman and members were mentioned as,Barrister Hashim Abioye (Chairman),Barrister Niyi Abioye (member)Hon. Timothy Ayofe Folarin, Chief Raufu Olalere Sikiru, Barr. Wale Iyaniwura, Hon. Olubunmi Ayobami Ibiloye, Mobolaji Olayinka Niniola and Adedapo Ayodeji.
At the state Judicial Service Commission, names of confirmed nominees were, Barr. Ishola Taofeek Tewogbade (member),Barr. Adedunmade Onibokun, Mr Gbadegesin Olajide and Mrs Linda Bibilari while in Osun state Civil Service Commission, names confirmed were given as, Murray Oluwadare (Chairman),Agbofiseti Ismail Akano (member),Adekunle Taofiq Olaniyan,Olojede Akindele and Alh. Fakorede Raifu.
While confirming the nominees at the emergency House plenary on Monday, the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun said “to enhance seamless operations in the statutory commissions and since the credentials of the nominees have been screened by the Adhoc committee constituted by the House for that purpose, it is important and urgent for the House to confirm them.”
He, therefore, enjoined the Chairmen and members of the commissions to do everything within their powers to justify the trust being vested in them by the governor as well as the good people of the state.
