Osun Amotekun Corps has apprehended a 35-year-old man, Muritala Ibrahim, for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl in Agba, Boripe Local Government Area of the state.
According to a statement released by the Corps Commander, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), the suspect was arrested after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the Amotekun Boripe Command.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Ibrahim lured the minor into his residence, where he allegedly forcefully had carnal knowledge of her. The suspect also shaved part of the girl’s hair and provided her with a new dress.
Ibrahim has confessed to the crime and has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
The Osun Amotekun Corps has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens, especially vulnerable groups like children and women.
