Busuyi Ayowole
THE Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has elected Busuyi Ayowole to run as the standard-bearer of the party during the Osun State gubernatorial election coming up on the 16th of July.
He was unanimously elected as the candidate by the 71 accredited delegates at the party’s primaries held at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo on Saturday.
Ayowole is said to have been “nursing the ambition of becoming the governor of Osun State since 2003, and has pursued the ambition by making well-calculated preparations since then.”
He noted that his mission of wanting to become governor is to bring about lasting change in the lives of Osun State people and that he would achieve this through proper alignment of his policies with the fundamental principles of his party by ensuring the “Restoration of Humanity at the Deserved Magnitude in the Lives of My Dear Esteemed People of Osun State.”

According to his manifesto published by the Busuyi Ayowole Grassroots Organisation (BAGO), the tools he would use to accomplish his mission if he becomes governor are Technology, Education and Determination (TED).
The items in his manifesto, which he summarised as ‘The action plans towards citizens’ satisfaction’, comprise: technology for self-sufficiency, education for self-reliance, food security, unprecedented job creation, befitting shelter, public transportation, town planning, and healthcare.
He said if he is elected, he would “pay the monthly welfare incentives for the elderly (60 years and above) throughout the state, regardless of political affiliations and work history.”
Busuyi Ayowole is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and he also holds an M.Sc. in Design and Production Engineering from the University of Lagos.
He is a music professional with certificates, including a grade 8 music theory certificate from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.
