The actress through her Non-Governmental Organisation, the Joful Joy Foundation founded with Sioux Greaux, held the 2017 edition of the outreach at Ebute-Metta, Lagos, an avenue to test, counsel and provide malaria treatment and insecticide-treated mosquito nets to more than 700 people, which included pregnant women and children.
Speaking at the outreach, which held recently, Osas Ighodaro said: The foundation is meeting its mission of spreading joy, one community at a time. I’m grateful to be able to make an impact; small yet impactful.
The foundation was launched in Nigeria on October 13, 2013 and was hosted by founder, Osas Ighodaro’s husband, Gbenro Ajibade, and Zimbabwean actress and television personality, Vimbai Mutinhiri. The launch also featured performances from various comedians and musicians. The next Joyful Joy event is scheduled to take place in October 2017.
