THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State is leading in the Saturday Governorship election declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The result of twelve local government areas of the State have so far been released as at the time of filing this report.
Though, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress Emmanuel Jime is leading in seven local government areas while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Samuel Ortom leads in five local government areas.
According to the result released by the collation officer, Professor Sebastine Maimako, PDP is leading by 1,212 votes.
Benue State is made up of 23 local government areas.

The council areas won by APC are; Oju, Obi, Ogbadibo, Ohimini, Apa, Otukpo and Tarka.
PDP won on Gwer West, Gwer East, Ushongo and Ukum.
