Opposition parties pass vote of confidence on Tambuwal

Opposition parties in Sokoto State under the aegies of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

The IPAC Secretary-General, Alhaji Abba Sidi, made this known at a press conference in Sokoto on Thursday.

“Gov. Aminu Tambuwal’s commendable efforts in bringing utmost peace, stability and prosperity in the state are very well known to all well-meaning people of the state and resident communities.

“We are therefore urging the able governor to maintain such laudable tempo, for the sustenance of peaceful coexistence among the entire people of the state.

“Without mincing words, the governor has impacted positively in various spheres that include education, poverty eradication, science and technology, agriculture, healthcare, women and youth affairs, among others.”

He said the members of the committee recently undertook a statewide monitoring tour of myriad of projects executed by Tambuwal.

Sidi, the state Chairman of the Nigeria Conscience Party, said that the monitoring tour was aimed at ”seeing things for ourselves”, adding: “we are  convinced that the projects are tangible and people-oriented”.

”We, as patriotic Nigerians, urged the people to deeply pray for continuous peace and stability of Sokoto state as well as Nigeria in general.” NAN
