OPIC to build 256 housing units at Isheri New Makun

THE Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), says it will build 256 units of various houses within the MTR Garden Estates, Isheri and New Makun City situated at Sagamu Interchange next year.

In a statement signed by the Corporation’s management, it was  noted that part of OPIC responsibility is to provide  self-sufficient housing and other related properties within a secured and serene environment.

The Managing Director of OPIC, Jide Odusolu, who said during the  budget defence before members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation led by Mr. Akanbi Bankole at the Assembly Complex Oke-mosan, added that the agency would in the next fiscal year provide more primary infrastructure  at new Makun city, Agbara Estate and MRT Garden, Isheri.

Odusolu stated that as part of its effort at contributing to the provision of physical infrastructure to boost commercial and economic development of the State, the Corporation would open up 2.5km and 1.5km roads at MTR Garden, Isheri and new Makun city respectively, while it would also embark on repairs and upgrading of gbara and Alamala Estates.

Defending the agency’s 2018 budget estimate, the OPIC MD said  a total budget estimates of N5.253b, out of which capital expenditure would gulp N4.58b, and the remaining N667m was earmarked for recurrent expenditure with expected revenue of the agency put at N8.036B.
