Ooni to address top Hollywood acts, Eddie Murphy, others in US

THE Ooni of Ife and Arole Oodua, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II will this Saturday stormed the State of California in the United States of America (US), where he would address top American movie artists and other prominent acts in a historic visit facilitated by the organisers of Hollywood African Prestigious Awards (HAPA) and Silicon VALLEY-NED in conjunction with the African Technology Foundation.

Among famous movie artistes that would be met by the monarch during the visit include Eddie Murphy of the “Coming to America” fame, his crew and other Afro-American movie and musical legends.

In a press statement issued by the director of media and public affairs to the Ooni of Ife, Comrade Moses Olafare, a copy of which was made available to Tribune Online on Wednesday, “the Arole Oodua worldwide is scheduled to begin his California activities on Monday 13th November 2017 with a courtesy visit to the CA Legislative Team at State Senate Office, Sacramento CA”.

According to the statement, “he would thereafter move to Stanford University, Pablo Alto CA for Oil & Gas Initiatives and meet some key representatives of IVY League Institution such As Stanford University to discuss opportunities for exchange international programs, before proceeding to the 8th Technology wonder of the world, to be hosted by Silicon Valley – Nigerian Economic Development (SV-NED Inc.) & African Technology Foundation to promote the bridge between Nigeria and the Technology capital of the world, Silicon Valley”.

“He is also scheduled to make a visit to Cisco (CSCO), IBM (IBM), Intel (INTC) and Tesla Motors (TSLA) for business discussions and a tour of the giant automobile manufacturing Plant located at Fremont CA. The climax of the first day is a Dinner Party at San Jose CA where he will be hosted by Silicon Valley Capital Club while the second day of 14th November 2017 will witness the Ooni’s meetings with the management of Google & YouTube at Mountain View CA”.

“He thereafter goes to TBD at San Jose CA to hold talks with Intel, Microsoft, Cisco and some Information Technology Healthcare Investors before Departing to Los-Angeles CA for the Hollywood Awards and other activities starting with HAPA Business Roundtable With Royalty, Education Seminar and Workshop for students with the State of California on Wednesday 15th November 2017”.

The statement continued, “he will on the same day be at the Staple Centre on the invitation of MR EARVIN “MAGIC” JOHNSON Jr., the American professional basketball legend and current president of Basketball Operations of the Los Angeles Lakers, to watch the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be followed by Dinner With The Kings And Music Awards Night slated for Thursday 16th 2017, while the Yoruba Indigenous Day with the African Community will take place on Friday 17th November 2017″.

“The Foremost African monarch will on Saturday 18th 2017 be honoured with the Hollywood & African Prestigious Leadership Award alongside King Mswati III of Swaziland and King(Dr) Noble Odaifio Welentsi III from Ghana during the Hollywood African Awards Show holding at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California where he will be the Guest Speaker to speak on “THE ERADICATION OF NEGATIVE IMAGES ASSOCIATED WITH AFRICA AND FORGOTTEN HISTORY”.

“Ooni who is the Co-chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria will play host to the crew of COMING TO AMERICA FILM to be led by the world famous actor, EDDIE MURPHY. He will leave for the United Kingdom on 20th November 2017 to attend The Phoenix Newspaper 7th Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation at the ICC, Birmingham, United Kingdom on 25th November 2017”, the statement concluded.
