Onpetu lauds Makinde as he marks 24 years on the throne

The Onpetu of Ijeru in Ogbomosho South Local Government Area of Oyo State, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran, has commended the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, for ensuring peace and tranquility in the state.

The monarch said that the state has experienced unprecedented peace since Makinde assumed office in 2019.

Oba Oladapo gave the commendation during the celebration of his 24th year on the throne which was celebrated recently at his palace.

While appreciating God for the development his kingdom had enjoyed in the last 24 years, Oba Oladapo revealed that the secret behind the success has been God.

He said: “Since the assumption of office as the governor of Oyo State on May 29, 2019, Governor Makinde has led the state to witness an unprecedented era of peace and development.

“I must commend the governor for the security of lives and property in the Pacesetter state.”

Dignitaries present at the event included Evangelist Funso Akande, Evangelist Isaac Oni, the Aale of Oke’lerin, Oba Samuel Amoo; other traditional rulers and chiefs from far and near.
