DUE to space constraint last week, the concluding part of the piece was shelved till today. I present it as written 10 days back, on February 1st:
“In all of these, it is saddening Daddy Yemi Osinbajo is reportedly involved. Yes, the VP is a father in the faith and the lower the bar gets on his side, the more concerned, the Body of Christ should get for him and others who went into government, thoroughly reborn of the Blood of Jesus and baptized by the Fire of the Holy Ghost. Whenever President Buhari goes stomping on fecal deposit, Daddy PYO has made himself duty-bound to use bare fingers and open palm in wiping the pooh-pooh, in order to hide his principal’s desecrated feet. Well, much may not be wrong in trying to emulate Jesus by washing a “disciple’s” feet, but the cleansing procedure by Jesus, was to make the disciples have a part in Him and his holy attributes. Jesus’s example was to make clean, not to hide filth!
If APC rigs this election, Venezuela will be a child’s play —Galadima
So, if Onnoghen truly lent himself to graft, does it mean Daddy PYO is truly for a pat, parting gift and go sin no more? That can never be the intendment of the Word. Or if Buhari, as usual, had decided to operate from his natural habitation, by removing a just man from office, is the Professor of Law now rooting for illegality, unconstitutionality and coup against jurisprudence?
Our beloved Daddy should beware of gradually fitting into the administration’s Mr. Fix-the-dirty. He had pulled same stunt with NNPC off-shore fraud, by trying to cover the cabal’s thief-path-on-the-wet rock. He was also the main Fixer in Kano, settling alleged corruption case against Emir Sanusi with handshake-across-the-aisle. He equally did one in Osun during Aregbesola’s era which I won’t mention here. And now Onnoghen…Sir, is it not about time to make a clear choice between God and mammon? That Martins Oloja’s homily during a breakfast meeting with you as a candidate early 2015, still rings a bell; don’t be unequally yoked.”
And here is my concluding take this week
With each passing day, a deal between Onnoghen, or more like his worriers, and the federal government, looks a fait accompli. Well, because the updated content of the deal was a privileged briefing, I won’t get into what is cooking for now. The scenario playing out also got me seeking Holy Spirit guidance. Because the celestial inquest began after the VP was preserved from untimely death by God for the second time in months, I was expecting an insight regarding him. But it was Onnoghen that came forth. The Spirit of God directed me to the book of Daniel and King Nebuchadnezzar’s saga of paradise lost and regained, but not without a warning that he must desist from what got him crashed in the first place. The Lord told me he was idolatrous. I’m certain God must have also revealed to him where he missed it.
Considering the aspect of Nebuchadnezzar mounting his throne after seven years of being raving and stark mad in a dispensation of empire conquest as the main sign of greatness, one’s faith may shake considerably, looking at the current political landscape and its managers. But He is God. If He says He will return Onnoghen to his lost “throne” whenever the deposed CJN is ready to fully return to the Lord of all flesh, He will do it. Afterall, nothing is difficult for Him. You ask how, within the current realities and I say to you, I don’t know. But with Him, nothing shall be impossible.
Onnoghen’s greatest error is not the asset forgetfulness or suspicious bank deposits. He fell because God made him but decided to worship man. For someone with zero administrative and leadership experience, having not led any court at any level before becoming CJN as an against-all-odd nominee, God should have been his only Rock. But no, he wanted to be an Aso Rocker at all cost , engaging in palongo justice delivery, like the Yobe governorship appeal, wherein a confirmed bribe-paying fellow was set free, obviously to please the god-wannabe running the nation. There is so so much to the Onnoghen story than the domiciliary dust. Someday, it would be fully told.
Amaechi’s thud
It is not in Gibbers’ character to rejoice in others’ calamity; chiefest reason the focus would not be on the loss of Rivers APC at the Supreme Court last Friday, effectively ending all the plotting, schemings and shenanigans to rid the state of Wike and PDP. One man who would be mourning big time alongside Rotimi is a presidential aide, to whom Wike is a better-wasted phlegm. Were Onnoghen to be the CJN that chose the panel which broke the heart of his darling political son, the combustible professor would have hollered corruption, before even reading the judgment. To our dear DG, please take heart, nothing, except God’s blessings, lasts forever.
