Only God can remove Tinubu, APC support groups reply Onaiyekan

The Confederation of All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups Nationwide have said only God can remove President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from office.

Speaking in a news conference in Kaduna at the weekend, the National coordinator of the support groups, Kailani Muhammad said his group was replying to the recent statement credited to Cardinal John Onaiyekan.

While condemning the statement of the cardinal, he said, “Only God can remove President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from office as the president of Nigeria.

Kailani remarked that, “Onaiyekan was quoted as saying the following: Tinubu is not yet Nigeria’s President at all. The elections not yet over, we don’t have a President until the Court said so and Tinubu doesn’t win election but he was busy forming government, all because the constitution of Nigeria was packaged by criminal Islamic North military hierarchy, to give advantage to a region that doesn’t have regards for truth, for 63 years.

“We condemn this man of God in totality. For the umpteenth time, we the Confederation of all APC Support Groups nationwide, are not happy with the statement coming from the cardinal. We believe too many Nigerians are not happy, the group enthused. This is so because he supposed to be a man of God who preaches peace, unity and sincerity of purpose in this country. But look at what he’s saying.”

To this end, the support groups said, “We want the cardinal and his likes to know that no one can remove Tinubu, only God. We voted for him and Nigerians have spoken on the 25th of February 2023.

“We have confidence that the judges would do the right thing. What the Labour Party and the PDP have in the court today, are not facts and figures. They supposed to have told us the shortcomings and irregularities in the 148,900 Polling Units, show us where people snatched ballot boxes or where the ballot boxes were stuffed.

“They didn’t say that. All they are hammering is Abuja, FCT. That the President didn’t win in FCT. But they have forgotten the President has 2/ 3 of the total votes cast in this country, in 24 states out of the 36 states,” they declared.
