Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has said over a million Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected in the state few weeks to the general elections.
To this end, he urged people to approach the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to collect their cards, which alone can guarantee their ability to exercise their civic duty of electing the leaders of their choice.
The governor said this while addressing hundreds of traders from Kasuwar Barci Market who came to drum their support for the re-election of the governor at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House Kaduna on Friday.
El-Rufai, however, cautioned the people from surrendering their cards or PVC to members of the opposition who are paying huge amount f to obtain PVCs, saying the motive of the opposition party was to clone and invalidate their PVCs.
He appealed to them to come our enmasse on the day of the election and to vote for the President and APC in the state, saying, the opposition Party has nothing to offer.

The governor also commended the traders for investing in the economy of the state and for creating opportunities for youths in the market.
He restated his administration’s commitment to assist them in boosting their businesses, saying Kaduna State Government welcomes and encourage investors.
Speaking at the event, the leader, Alhaji Umar Shadda, said el-Rufai has demonstrated good leadership in the state and has brought developmental projects that have improved the lives of Kaduna citizens.
According to Umar Shadda, the association (Textiles Materials Sellers Association) declared that they will work to ensure the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.
