One arrested as Police recover six motorcycles in Sokoto

Nigerian Police Force, Sokoto State Command has arrested one Kabiru Abubakar, who specialises in motorcycle theft together with some of his accomplices.

A statement signed by the spokesman of the command, ASP Ahmad Rufai, and made available to newsmen in the state on Tuesday said the suspect was arrested after stealing a motorcycle parked at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital.

According to the statement, “One Kabiru Abubakar Alias “m” aged 25 has been arrested by Sokoto State Police Command’s Striking Force for allegedly stealing a motorcycle from where it was parked at Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital Sokoto (UDUTH), in the day hours of July 05, 2024.

“The motorcycle was recovered upon the arrest of the suspect, while the owner of the motorcycle was located and identified it as his.

“The suspect confessed to the crime and also stole one Motorcycle at Rahamat Clinic Sokoto belonging to one Naziru Muhammad ‘M’ Kano Road.

“He  mentioned one Kabiru Alhaji Yaro ‘m’ Bello Way Area, Sokoto as his receiver and further investigations led to the recovery of Six Motorcycles”.

The statement further said the arrested suspects would be arraigned in Court after conclusion of investigation.
