The lawmaker representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the ruling of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, which dismissed the appeals by the opposition PDP and Labour Party and its presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi, respectively.
The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election
In a statement issued on Thursday, Senator Adegbonmire said he received the news of the apex court’s verdict with excitement and great pleasure.
“The judgement of the Supreme Court is a great victory for our democracy and rule of law.”
The lawmaker said the unanimous decision of the seven-member panel of the highest court in the land has cleared any doubt about the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election.
“He pointed out that with the judgement, all distractions would cease and the President would be fully settled for the task of building the nation.”
