A lawmaker representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, has condoled with his colleague and former Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Ahmad Lawan on the death of his mother, Hajiya Halima (Baba) Ibrahim.
Senator Lawan’s mother died at the age of 86 years on Saturday, October 14, at her residence in Gashua town, Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Sen. Adegbonmire, in a statement, described the late Hajiya Ibrahim as a woman of virtue who inculcated in all her children the spirit of devoutness, moral uprightness and hard work, as exemplified in the character of former Senate President.
“I condole with my very Distinguished Colleague and former Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, representing Yobe North Senatorial District, on the painful death of his dear mother.
“Hajiya led a good and fruitful life as exemplified in the children she left behind,” Adegbonmire said.
As gathered, Halima Ibrahim will be buried according to Islamic rites Sunday, October 15, at Gashua by 11am.
“I pray to Allah to grant her Aljannat, and his family the fortitude to bear this great loss.” the statement reads.
