Ondo lawmaker distributes food items, cash gifts to constituents

The lawmaker representing Akure North State Constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Kolawole Ologede, has distributed food items worth millions of naira and cash to his constituents to celebrate the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The beneficiaries, mainly widows and the aged could not hide their joy as they burst into spontaneous songs.

Ologede, who was at the distribution of the items, stated it was part of the end-of-year activities aimed at supporting families and cushioning the effect of the subsidy removal by the government.

Some beneficiaries who spoke at the event lauded Ologede’s gesture, describing it as unprecedented in the constituency’s history.

“We appreciate the kind gesture of the lawmaker, and we pray that God grants his heart’s desires.”

Political associates like former Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Saka-Yusuf Ogunleye, and Chairman of Akure North LG, Hon. Tayo Fayanju, and other stakeholders in the Constituency commended the efforts of Ologede at putting smiles on the faces of his constituents this Christmas.
