Traditional Religion Worshippers in Ondo state have called on the electorate in the state to vote for the best candidate in the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
The president of the association, Chief Oso Adewale, who is also the Araba Iwaro Ọkà Akoko implored the electorate not to sell their votes and vote according to their conscience.
He said Ondo state needs a good leader who knows the needs of the people and who will rule with the fear of God and without sentiments irrespective of religion or political affiliations.
Adewale, also called on politicians to maintain peace and not to turn the Ondo state into a battleground.
Adewale asked whoever emerges as the governor after the election to remember to grant Isese Day holiday in Ondo state.
He called on the traditional religion practitioners to commence immediate prayer for peace to reign during and after the election, saying the peace of Ondo state is paramount.
