Ondo guber: PDP to screen aspirants Wednesday

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirants for the Ondo state governorship election will face the committee next Wednesday at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.

Former Ebonyi State governor, Sam Egwu, has been named the chairman of the committee set up by the PDP to screen its aspirants.

The main opposition party sold its gubernatorial form from March 7 to March 21, 2024.

The aspirants who purchased the party’s expression of interest and forms are a former Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi; a former commissioner and chieftain of Afenifere, Olusola Ebiseni; Akinwumi Adeolu, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Kolade Akinjo, Bosun Arebuwa and John Mafo.

Members of the screening committee include Sen. Isa Shuaibu Lau, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, Mrs. Olivia Dazyman, Barr. Tanko Beji, Amb. Gladys Ashemuke, Chief Rahman Owokoniran (Secretary) and Caroline Akinsete (Administrative Secretary).

The Ondo State governorship election comes up on November 16, 2024.
