Ondo guber: APC youths, women group declare support for Aiyedatiwa

The Youth and Women Taskforce of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have declared their support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16 governorship election in the state.

Aiyedatiwa, who is the governorship candidate of the APC, will slug it out with a former deputy governor of the state, Honourable Agboola Ajayi, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some other candidates of different political parties participating in the election.

The APC youth and women taskforce, comprising thousands of APC faithful, declared that all measures have been put in motion to work for the success of Governor Aiyedatiwa.

In a statement by the National Coordinator of the group, Mr Adeyeri Maxwell, the state Coordinator, Bolasere Musibau and the Publicity Secretary, Ilawole Taiwo Samuel, the group said over 20,000 registered members of the APC Youth and Women Taskforce in Ondo State are set to mobilise votes in support of Governor Aiyedatiwa.

“This grassroots movement underscores our collective belief in the leadership and the transformative policies that Governor Aiyedatiwa has implemented since he assumed office,” they said.

The group noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently prioritised youths and women empowerment in his administration, adding that his initiatives include appointment of over 100 female aides into key positions, ensuring that women’s voices are heard and represented in governance.

They stated further that the Governor has initiated skill development programme, pointing out that the Governor has launched various programmes aimed at equipping young people with essential skills to thrive in economy.

Also, the group hinted that the government of Aiyedatiwa has provided financial assistance and mentorship for young entrepreneurs, which has been a hallmark of his administration, just as he has done well in the health sector through various people’s centered initiatives.

“The governor has prioritised healthcare access for women and children, implementing maternal health programmes that have significantly reduced maternal and infant mortality rates in the state,” the group added.
