Ondo govt gives priority to recovery of outstanding loans

THE Ondo State Government says it will vigorously pursue the recovery of outstanding loans from the debtors to enable others to benefit from its soft loan scheme.

Mr Robert Omogbeminiyi, the Senior Special Assistant on Micro-Credit, Small and Medium Enterprises, made this known at the inaugural meeting with members of staff of the agency in Akure on Wednesday.

Omogbeminiyi urged the workers to work hard to ensure that the aims and objectives of the agency were achieved.

According to him, as the political head of the agency, I assure you of an all-inclusive administration in the running of the agency.

Omogbeminiyi said that the recovery of outstanding loans was to enable market women, artisans, farmers and enterprising youths to benefit from the soft loan schemes of the state government.

He lauded Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the trust he reposed in him, adding that the agency would be reinvigorated as a proper and standard financial institution.
