Ondo APC chieftain commends youths for shunning hunger protest

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Dr Femi Adekanmbi, has commended the youths of Ondo State for their decision not to protest against the government, describing them as patriotic and supportive of government initiatives.

Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture and Tourism, who made this statement in an interview with journalists in Akure, the state capital, praised the youth for their maturity and understanding of the current situation in the country.

He noted that their decision not to protest is a testament to their loyalty and commitment to the development of the state and Nigeria.

According to him, ‘the youth of Ondo State have shown that they are true patriots who are committed to the progress and development of our dear state.

“Their decision not to protest is a clear indication of their support for the government’s initiatives and policies aimed at moving the state forward.”

The APC Chieftain noted that the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa’s, proactive approach to addressing the concerns of the youth has helped in preventing the escalation of protests in the state.

The various meetings he held with the stakeholders are commendable and have significant effects, as per the protest.

In the same vein, Adekanmbi also applauded President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to infrastructure development in Ondo State, saying that the approved road projects, Benin-Akure-Ilesa Road and Ore-Akure-Ondo Road, will have a significant impact on the state’s economy and the well-being of the citizens.

Adekanmbi, therefore, urged the youth to continue to be supportive of the government while also encouraging them to always express their opinions and grievances through peaceful and constructive means.

The APC Chieftain also used the opportunity to appeal to the youth to remain calm and peaceful, even in the face of challenges.

Adekanmbi, who met with various youth groups across the state prior to the commencement of the protest, thanked the youths of the State for adhering to his advice not to be part of the protest.

“We understand that there may be difficulties, but the President is working hard to address them,” the statement reads.
