Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello
MY heart bleeds seeing what is happening in some parts of Nigeria as a result of the state of health of our president, Muhammadu Buhari.
It is unfair, uncalled for, unjust and inhuman to be vandalising properties in the name of protesting for or against the president, asking him to resume or resign because he has been away from the country for some months due to his health challenges.
Buhari’s well-being should be of concern to all Nigerians, not just the groups demanding his return.
I think that by handing over to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the president has done the right thing and observed the due process.
The protesters should leave the president alone and let him follow the advice of his doctors.
He will not die, and I know he will return safe and sound.
The security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police, should ensure that the protests do not degenerate into anarchy.
