Buruji Kashamu
The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial district at the Senate, Senator Buruji Kashamu, seems to have controversy as his appendage as he can be said to swim in controversy not just in Ogun state where he hails from but also in the Nigerian political space.
Buruji has stood out as a controversial individual in Nigeria politics. Though he is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, he is alleged to play a huge role in all the controversy and crisis leading to the failure of the party in Edo and Ondo governorship elections in 2016.
Twice he has been suspended, once he has been expelled from the PDP over several unabated anti-party activities.

In all the times that Kashamu got suspended and expelled from the PDP, he always finds his way through the judiciary to get court injunctions to upturn the decision of his party.
At the Senate, some of his colleagues call him Mr Injunction, because of his ability to get court injunctions in a matter of hours and days.
The latest is his emergence as the governorship candidate of the PDP in Ogun state. How did that happen? Where did he hold his primaries? Who conducted the primaries. These are questions begging for answers.
Kashamu announced his emergence, over the weekend, as the governorship candidate of a faction of the PDP chaired by Adedayo Bayo who was expelled by the PDP alongside Kashamu few months ago.
The Senator’s mission is clear, the same template that was used in Ondo that cost the PDP the election is currently being repeated in Ogun State. If not quickly checked, observers have said will spell another disaster for the PDP in the 2019 elections.
It is time to tame Kashamu before the PDP in Ogun state is destroyed.
