On invasion of Justice Odili’s residence

Justice Mary Odili is an eminent Justice of Supreme Court of Nigeria. Nobody has ever accused the brilliant judge of being biased; she has been discharging her duties diligently without fear and is a well respected judge.

It is a pity that the residence of Justice Odili at No 7 Imo Rivers Street, Maitama, Abuja was invaded by yet unknown security agents, this ugly incident while serving Nigeria is terrible.

This invasion should be condemned in its entirety. The Presidency is expected to warn security agencies to stop invading the residences of judges. What exactly do these security operatives looking for at Justice Odili’s residence? I have no doubt in my mind that the judge will be affected by this traumatic experience.

This must not be allowed to happen again; judges deserve to be respected and nobody should be allowed to disrespect the sanctity of their hallowed chambers or their homes.
