Hon. Balogun, a son of the late renowned Ibadan politician and labor activist, Abdul-Ghani Kolawole Balogun—the first chairman of the defunct Ibadan Municipal Government (IMG) from 1977 to 1979—contested in the 2023 general election for the Oyo House of Assembly in Ibadan North East Constituency 2, and the chairmanship post in this year’s Oyo State local government election, both under the NNPP.

He highlighted that Olopoeyan’s extensive experience in the political arena of Oyo State has earned him great respect and admiration, making him the envy of other politicians.

He stated, “Today, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my leader, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan, on his birthday. I deeply appreciate his support over the years, and I want to assure him that none of it is taken for granted. I remain steadfastly loyal to him, no matter what, and I pray for his long life, good health, and abundant wealth.”
