Oldest man in Uganda dies aged 134

A man claimed to have been the oldest person in Uganda has died, a Ugandan newspaper, New Vision reports.

The paper says John Ahuruma’s baptism card indicated he was born in 1885.

“The missionaries estimated my age. When I went for baptism teaching, they looked at me and decided that I was about 10 years. That was in 1895,” the paper quoted Mr. Ahuruma as saying in 2017.
